Dr. David Dano was born and raised by the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias, Israel. He received his DMD from the Hebrew University Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. After working in Tel Aviv, Dr. Dano continued his postgraduate studies and received a CAGS in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine and a certificate of internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Connecticut. Since then, he has worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor and a Group Practice Leader at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He is also a graduate of the MDS leadership institute. Dr. Dano is also a member of the American Dental Education Association, the International College for Dentists, the Alliance for Oral Health Across Borders, and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Dano was drawn to the dental field because of how rewarding the profession is. He views each day as a new adventure in which he has the privilege and joy of transforming a patient’s life by restoring their smile and overall quality of life. Dr. Dano is married to Marganit, a pharmacist and an RDH here in Virginia, and they have two sons. Dr. Dano describes himself as kind and caring. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and exploring new culinary techniques and recipes. He also enjoys travelling with his family, visiting new places, and interacting with people around the world. He loves learning about new and interesting cultures. He has visited places such as China, Thailand, Nepal, Tibet, Brazil, Europe, and more. Dr. Dano also loves participating in community dental events such as Give Kids and Smile and Smiles for Heroes.
